Indigo Hair Studio is a stylist‑owned salon in Old Town Spring built on artistry, education, and genuine connection. We’re always looking for passionate colorists, stylists, and beauty professionals who want to grow in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Work at Indigo

Working at Indigo means stepping into a salon that’s intentionally structured for growth. We’re a departmentalized team, which means every stylist gets to focus on their craft — colorists color, cutters cut, and specialists shine in the areas they’re truly passionate about. This creates a smooth, supportive workflow where no one is stretched thin and every guest receives the highest level of expertise. Our culture is creative, collaborative, and built around education, mentorship, and celebrating the artistry of hair. When you’re here, you’re part of a team that believes in lifting each other up, refining skills, and creating a salon experience that feels as good as it looks. Although we are staffed at the moment, we are always open to applications!

    • Tuesday - Saturday or Wednesday - Saturday with flexible hours

    • Required to pass model tests to start as a Hairstylist and not go through an assistant program

    • Hourly or Commission pay + Commission on retail sold with the eventual opportunity to transition into renting a booth.

  • Assistant / Apprentice - An assistant at Indigo plays a key part in our departmentalized flow, supporting both colorists and cutters so each specialist can focus on what they do best. You’ll learn hands‑on in every area — shampoos, treatments, color prep, guest care — while building real technical skill through daily education and mentorship. It’s a fast‑paced, growth‑driven role designed to prepare you for your future department with confidence and creativity.

    • Hourly pay

    • No experience needed but must be in cosmetology school or graduated

    • Must be available to work at least Wednesday - Saturday

  • Shampoo Assistant - A Shampoo Assistant at Indigo is dedicated solely to providing exceptional shampoos, treatments, and relaxing bowl experiences for our guests. This role is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys the art of shampooing and wants to focus exclusively on guest care at the bowl. You’ll create a smooth, calming experience for every client while supporting our departmentalized team by keeping the flow of services running effortlessly.

    • Hourly pay

    • No cosmetology license required- but ideal.

    • Not for people looking to shadow stylists. This position is great for retired stylists, students wanting to focus on head spa experiences, etc.

  • Front Desk Coordinator - A Front Desk Coordinator at Indigo is the welcoming heartbeat of the salon. You keep our departmentalized team running smoothly by managing check‑ins, booking appointments, supporting stylists’ schedules, and creating an effortless guest experience from the moment someone walks in. This role blends organization, communication, and hospitality to ensure every visit feels seamless, warm, and unmistakably Indigo.

    • Hourly Pay

    • Must be comfortable talking to clients, talking on the phone and with written communications (Email, texting)

    • Must be available to work within the opening hours of the salon Tuesday - Saturday

  • Wax Specialists - Currently, we have one curtained off treatment room. It is being used by a part time Wax specialist. If you provide any other services and would be interested in part time usage of the room or would like to provide us with your information in case the room becomes available- apply under the “wax specialist”.

    • Two options

      • Hourly or Commission pay + Commission on retail sold
